Lee Chappell has been named as St Albans City’s player of the month for February.c
The award, sponsored by Harpenden Construction Limited, will be presented to Chappell, prior to this Saturday’s game against Bedford Town by Phill Spokes, CEO of allseven24, who is the February sponsor.
City picked up 13 points from six games in February and kept two clean sheets, with Chappell playing a key role in all the fixtures.
Chappell leads the whole team in appearances this season, which speaks volumes of the consistency and quality he brings to the left back position in City’s line-up.
His tireless running up and down the flank, coupled with his defensive ability, is a big reason Saints are still in the play-off hunt as they enter the final 10 games of the season.
