COACH Shane Rampling hailed the strength of his squad after St Albans Centurions blitzed London Skolars last weekend.
The boss will be hoping for more of the same as Cents host Portsmouth Navy Seahawks at The Recreation Ground, Colney Heath with a 2.30pm kick off on Saturday.
Cents won 60-16 away at Skolars and Rampling hailed the display. He said: "The guys did very well, this was our strongest team of the season. Everything just seemed to click for us, and one amazing stat was that in the whole game, only six mistakes were made by the Cents players."
The annual City and District of St Albans Sports Awards took place on Wednesday, July 9 at The Vineyard Church, St Albans.
Rampling won the Community Coach of the Year - Male award and Centurions were recognised in the Team of the Year Club Sports Award category.
The prestigious St Albans City & District Sports Awards were hosted by Leisure Connection, St. Albans Arts, Sport and Health Development Team in partnership with St. Albans City & District Council hosted the annual St. Albans District Sports Awards to recognise the great work going on within sport in St. Albans over the year, which is designed to acknowledge the exceptional sporting performance of individual athletes, teams, and the outstanding contribution of 'behind the scenes' sports people who have given something to sport in the last 12 months.

Aussie coach and RFL development officer Shane Rampling was voted 'Coach of the Year' for his prowess in guiding The Cents to 'the treble' in 2007. Under his coaching, Cents won the Southern Premiership League Championship, the Southern Premiership Grand Final, and the RLC National Grand Final.
The St Albans Centurions team were then voted runners up in the ' Team of the Year ' category for their achievements last year. Long time club player Oli Fountain was there to accept the award on behalf of the club. A big well done to everyone concerned with the club for this outstanding achievement.
