St Albans Centurions head into their East League play-off semi-final refreshed after Kings Lynn Black Nights cancelled their season finale.
The Cents were set to face Kings Lynn on the final day of the regular season but the Knights called off because they could not break into the top four and earn a play-off berth.
St Albans finished third in their debut season in the league and will travel to second-placed St Ives Roosters in the play-offs. St Ives won the first encounter by two points but were beaten heavily, 52-32, by Cents in the rematch.
First-placed Bedford Tigers face North Herts Crusaders in the other semi-final.
Chairman Brian Parker said: “At the start of the season we had an injury and player unavailability list that I had never known before, plus losing our head coach to major surgery for large chunks of the season didn’t help, so I think we have done very well to finish in third spot and reach the play-offs.
“A big well done to the squad.”
The winners of the semi-finals will meet at Bedford on Saturday, August 22.
