ST Albans Centurions have moved to Cotlandswick to share the facilities with Verulamians RFC.

The Cents have previously been based at the Recreation Ground in Colney Heath, having moved there from Woollams. They have now taken the decision to switch to back to their original home at Cotlandswick, London Colney and Brian Parker, Chair of St Albans Centurions, said: "While it is sad to leave what has been a very happy home for us at Colney Heath FC, everyone at the Club is excited about the potential offered by the facilities at Verulamians. The extra pitches and changing rooms will allow us to offer more of the right opportunities for our players to train and play throughout the year. This is essential for their individual development and vital for us as a club with National League ambitions."

The switch means that Cotlandswick will be home to both rugby codes and Nathan Stewart, chairman of Verulamians Rugby Club, feels it is a positive move. He said: "Verulamians Rugby Football Club are delighted and excited to welcome St Albans Centurions to Cotlandswick and would like to extend a warm welcome to all their members, players and supporters. A community based club, Verulamians Rugby Football Club teams great sporting facilities with an open fun friendly atmosphere for the whole community to enjoy.

"Working together with St Albans Centurions we believe that both clubs and rugby codes can flourish side by side. We look forward to sharing friendly banter, social activities and sporting competiveness while providing access to both League and Union rugby throughout the year.
