STEVE Castle wants his side to get back to winning ways when Worcester City visit Clarence Park on Saturday. St Albans lost for the first time in eight league games last Saturday and Castle is looking for an immediate response.

He said: "We've got to get ourselves back on track. I mean it's very harsh saying that because it's only one loss in ten or eleven [league and cup games] but we've just got to get ourselves back in a winning motion at home and make sure our place is not somewhere where people are going to come and play decent football. We've got to put the pressure on them and make sure we push onwards and upwards."

Castle believes Worcester will prove tough opponents on Saturday having beaten City in the second game of the campaign. "I'm expecting a very tough game. We played them in the second game of the season and arguably played some of our best football but obviously lost the game."

The St Albans manager was pleased with his side's effort at St Margaretsbury in the Herts Senior Cup on Tuesday night but wants his side to kill teams off once they've gained the upper hand. "I'm pleased with the run out and ultimately the result. Give them [St Margaretsbury] a bit of credit, they came into it but we do seem to take our foot off the gas when we go ahead. We got away with it today but we've got make sure that once we get a lead and we keep the large percentage of play then we've got to take advantage of it. What I can say on a very positive note is that the attitude they showed to just keep on going and keep on playing their football was very good."

Chris Seeby continued his recovery in the game but Castle thinks the right back is still a couple of weeks away from the first team. "I think Seebs would probably need a couple more games in my opinion only because that strong challenge hasn't been done yet by him. It will come. I think it's a mental thing rather than a physical thing with him."

Ryan Frater is expected to recover from the injury that forced him off at Braintree on Saturday in time for the Worcester game but Paul Hakim is rated doubtful. Castle commented: "Paul Hakim is 50-50 so we'll really have to wait until Saturday to make a decision on him but other than Lee Clarke, who really needs the games and I wouldn't consider him just yet and Chris Seeby for the reasons I mentioned, we're trying to get back to a little bit more full fitness."

Simon Martin came on as a substitute at St Margaretsbury, scoring the fourth goal and is expected to feature on Saturday as City's injury problems appear to be easing. The City boss said: "Simon is up for selection. It was a nice goal he got himself there and the young lad Inih Effiong didn't do himself any harm."

l The Harpenden Construction Limited Player of the Month award has been won by Paul Hakim. Paul will collect his award prior to kick off at this Saturday's match.
