MANAGER Steve Castle has hit out at rumours that Ryan Frater will be leaving the club.
It was reported last week that the 25-year-old centre-half would undergo a trial at Welling United when the Wings' players return for pre-season training this week but Castle has dismissed those rumours.
Speaking to the Herts Advertiser, Castle said: "Ryan Frater is staying at St Albans City. He's fed up with reports that he's signing for other clubs. He's spoken to other clubs, most players have, but when I last spoke to him he said he's fed up with the reports and he's more than happy to stay.
