Harpenden Bowling Club started the season with captain versus president match.
Over 50 members enjoyed the occasion, getting their skills tuned up for another busy season. The captains’ team won by 30 shots.
The club will be holding an open day on Sunday from 10.30am to 7pm. Anyone is welcome. Coaches and club members will be around to introduce new players to the game. All you need is a pair of flat shoes, everything else will be provided.
The first friendly match has been played away against Redbourn. On a synthetic green, Harpenden won 110-73. The top rink was Jack Blissett, Dena Roberts and Sue Howe.
