St Albans City fans flooded onto the pitch to celebrate with their heroes after the club won promotion to the Conference yesterday.
St Albans beat Chesham United 3-1 in the Southern League play-off final to end their three-year hiatus from the Conference.
At the final whistle, the Saints faithful, who were superb on the day and have helped the club to the third best average attendance on the season, invaded the pitch to join the players.
The club took a 1,500-strong support to the game and the celebrations carried on long after the final whistle.
