Buckle leads from the front for Striders

ST Albans Striders performed well at the Berkhamsted Half Marathon on Sunday with Steve Buckle winning the race in a time of 1 hour 16 minutes. Jonathan Scott finished second in 1 hour 17 minutes and other good times were recorded by Colin Braybrook 1:25

ST Albans Striders performed well at the Berkhamsted Half Marathon on Sunday with Steve Buckle winning the race in a time of 1 hour 16 minutes.

Jonathan Scott finished second in 1 hour 17 minutes and other good times were recorded by Colin Braybrook 1:25, Bob Voyce 1:29 and Ranjiet Kainth 1:30.

In the women's race, Heather Blamire-Brown was the first Strider home in 1:33. Other times, Chris Carradice 1:35, Kevin Morris 1:35, Helen Cartridge 1:40, Bob Watson 1:40, Peter Smith 1:41, Andrew Rendell 1:41, Joanna Murphy 1:41, Anthony Rowlands 1:41, Steve Alexander 1:41, Caroline Earp 1:43, Richard Jones 1:43, Michael Jack 1:44, Andrew Maher 1:47, Anne-Marie Wilkes 1:47, Jim Miller 1:49, Richard Bentley 1:49, Jonathan Barrett 1:52, Paul Carter 1:58, Stuart Ball 2:00, Julie Taylor 2:05 and Helen Durance 2:08. Striders men came second in the team event.
