Elliott Buchanan has left St Albans City to join Staines Town.
Staines announced the move on Twitter this morning.
The 25-year-old impressed as a trialist in the pre-season, with his best performance coming in a two-goal outing against Dagenham and Redbridge, and was rewarded with a place in the squad.
However, after a goal in the Herts Charity Cup, he failed to reproduce his pre-season form, going without a goal in three starts and two appearances from the bench.
With John Frendo as the Saints’ number one striker and joint managers James Gray and Graham Golds utilising attacking wide players, such as Sean Shields and Steve Wales, future chances for Buchanan looked limited and he has left to join Marcus Gayle’s side.
