Charlie Boldison won 100m and 200m backstroke gold medals at the British University and College Sports National Swimming Championships in Sheffield.
The 22-year-old, who represented the University of Hertfordshire, trains with the Elite Swimming squad at Stirling University and is the present ASA British champion for 200m backstroke.
He dominated the final field in the 200m, winning by over three seconds. He was run closer in the 100m final, but still beat Loughborough’s Joe Ellwood by more than a second.
Boldison grew up in Radlett and went to school at Queens School, Bushey.
