St Albans and London Colney Amateur Boxing Club’s Sam Pearson is into the quarter-finals of the Youth Championships.
Pearson will face Liam O’Hare, of Lydney, at Aylesbury ABC this Sunday (Feb 9) after receiving a walk-over into the final eight.
Elsewhere, Anees Taj entered the Youth Championship in Stevenage but lost out to five-time National Junior Champion Billy Lee.
Husain Ahmed won his bout with a unanimous decision on Monday night at the Chilternccl Hotel in Luton, beating Paddy Conners. Tomi Borzak lost on points.
