Ed Blake led home a superb contingent from St Albans Striders in the Flora London Marathon on Sunday. Six Striders broke the three-hour mark. Blake finished with a time of 2 hours 46 minutes,

Ed Blake led home a superb contingent from St Albans Striders in the Flora London Marathon on Sunday.

Six Striders broke the three-hour mark. Blake finished with a time of 2 hours 46 minutes, ahead of clubmates Chris Tilbrook in 2 hours 50 minutes, Paul Siddle (2 hours 52 minutes) and Richard Harry (2 hours 55 minutes).

The ladies elite team were in superb form and were led home by Katy Webster in 2 hours 53 minutes, ahead of Deborah Steer, who again broke three hours, finishing with 2 hours 58 minutes. Liz McKie was the third lady home in 3 hours 6 minutes to round off a strong show.
