Ben Wyatt is loving life at St Albans City and believes there is still plenty more to come from the squad in this season.
The wing-back signed from Braintree Town just two days after the first game of the season.
He has already opened his account for Saints, scoring the first against Hampton & Richmond Borough,
He said: “I’ve been in this league and got promoted out of it so I’m happy to be here and the set-up seems good.
“I’ve known Roman [Michael-Percil] from Braintree and I knew Tarik {Moore-Azille] as well and a few of the others and they’ve helped me mould in.
It’s been perfect and they’re all a good set of lads.”
The new system operated by Ian Allinson’s men this season, which places Wyatt as a wing-back, suits him down to the ground.

And he feels that the benefits of the formation will soon show for Saints.
He said: “I love it. I mean I enjoy the defensive side of it as well so I can drop in and do that but it gives me license to go forward and a bit of freedom to get wide and get goals and assists.”
“We want to tighten up defensively because we’ve leaked too many goals but when you’ve changed the system that’s always something that can happen.
“For me I like playing with wing backs and the first half showed that we can play with that system.
“It’s all about tightening up and getting used to that shape.
“If it’s new to everyone there will always be teething problems but once we get into it, we’ll be fine.”
