Belstone 4 St Nicholas 1
BELSTONE beat St Nicholas 4-1 on Tuesday, May 20 to continue their pursuit of the league title.
Captain Chris Ingham knocked a fine ball forward to find Nick Turner who controlled well and fired into the bottom corner for 1-0.
Goalkeeper Ben Raynesford made a spectacular save to maintain the lead and, from the resulting clearance by right back James Rattray, forward Matt Cole took the ball around the goalkeeper and netted for 2-0.
Striker Dan Cornoc then got on the score sheet before half time, tapping in a well-weighted Nick Turner pass.
In the second half, Belstone wrapped up the game with a second goal for Turner after substitute Mark Blackburne won the ball and provided a fine assist.
St Nicholas then pulled one back but only after a string of fine saves from Man of the Match Ben Raynesford.
