JUDO star Lauren Baverstock showed her class at the BJA Judo championships in Walsall earlier this month when she became British Under 20's Champion. Lauren, aged 16, came into the competition in top form after a successful trip to Belgium where she won the Antwerp Under 20 tournament. She then turned her attentions to Walsall where the pressure was on with all the best British young talent in attendance. Lauren fought her way through five very tense fights on the day and claimed the gold medal. Her achievement to win the Under 20's title at the age of 16 highlighted the great potential she has in the sport and her performance will have caught the eye of the selectors for the British Junior Squad.
