Paul Bastock is back in the Southern League Premier Division after securing a move to St Neots Town.

The St Albans City fan favourite joined Royston Town, of Division One Central, after ending his time at Clarence Park. Under former Saints manager Steve Castle, Bastock helped the Crows up to fifth in the table.

He called an end to his time at Garden Walk on October 10 and a day later he was in goal as St Neots downed league leaders Poole Town 3-2 at home. Bastock made his second appearance on Saturday in a 1-1 draw against Cirencester Town.

St Neots are second in the table, three points behind Poole, after 13 games. Gary King’s side are one of the favourites for promotion this season having retained the likes of Lewis Hilliard and added prolific goalscorer Drew Roberts from Chesham United.
