Verulamians shut out Bank of England RFC in a 19-0 win on Saturday.
On a damp, murky afternoon, Verulamians, with a once again much changed side from the previous week, dominated up front and created the platform to allow the backs to experiment and form a cohesive line that eventually penetrated the opposition to run in three tries.
Strong running by winger Levi White resulted in one try, that was supplemented by lock Graham Ross, in a wing position at the time, and Ben Russell in the second half.
More points should have come Vees’ way, except for the resilient last ditch defence by a plucky Bank of England side.
Vees’ next home league match is against Haringey on Saturday, December 6. Kick-off is 2.15pm.
