ST Peter's crashed back to earth at Herts Senior County League Division One leaders Baldock Town on Saturday.
The Saints, boosted by a three match winning run, were without a number of players as their squad was weakened dramatically from recent weeks. The bench was made up of manager Mitch Morris and illness victim Sean Workman.
Baldock had revenge in mind after Saints had inflicted their only defeat in the league this season.
Despite being second best the Saints battled hard to stay in the game but an early goal and an error by goalkeeper Johnny Shearer for the second left them down at the break.

Any chance of a late rally from the Saints was cruelly curtailed when goalkeeper Shearer was forced off injured. Darren Shea had to go in goal and Baldock netted two more to win 6-1 and seal a flattering result.
