Elliot Bailey has been loaned out to Colney Heath on a short-term deal.

The 18-year-old striker returned from a one-month spell at Bedford Town at the start of January but has been unable to crack the first team with John Frendo continuing to score goals, Jamal Lowe’s improved play and the recent acquisition of Connor Calcutt.

City announced the move on Twitter today, saying Bailey will join the SSML Premier Division side for a month.

Bailey’s first chance to impress his new, temporary manager, Wes Awad, will come this Saturday, January 18, when the Magpies welcome Holmer Green to the Recreation Ground, 3pm kick-off.
