Harpenden Arms marched to the final with a win against rivals and cup holders Skew Bridge.

Arms took the lead with a Tom Collin strike. Skew Bridge scored to level through Mark Hitchcock by the break.

Skew took the lead with another Hitchcock goal only for Gary Findlay to head the equaliser.

In extra-time a Collin header in the first half was enough for a 3-2 victory.

Michael Ross was in superb form for Arms. This will be Arms’ first appearance in the knockout final.

They will meet Premier Division Nicholas Breakspear who defeated AFC Rangers 2-0 with goals from Cain Davey and James Juggins.

Herts Advertiser Challenge Cup

Vision took the lead halfway through the first half against Six Bells, a scoreline which stayed until half-time.

The second half saw Six Bells equalise through Aaron Clarke.

Vision regained the lead soon after, Six Bells pressed hard for the equaliser and were unlucky not to equalise and by doing so left the back door open for Vision to score a further two goals.

It could have been different if Six Bells had taken their chances but it was not to be. Final score, a flattering 4-1 to Vision.

Herts Advertiser Reserve Cup

Queens Head Res’ last chance at silverware ended despite a resilient display against Nicholas Breakspear OB Res.

Despite dominating possession Breakspear went 1-0 down thanks to route one football.

Ian Porter took a goal kick, it cleared all the defenders and Dave Yeo ran onto the ball and calmly rolled back the years with a sublime lob.

Queens were then on the back foot for the remainder of the game and it was not until the 80th minute that Breakspear drew level when a controversial free-kick was superbly put away by James Wheeler.

With three minutes remaining Breakspear qualified for the final after Steve Miller was unable to trap a ball and Tom Gajjar ran on and slotted home despite the best efforts of the Queens Head keeper Porter.

All in all Breakspear deserved to go through, but the men of Queens Head put up an excellent fight against the young opponents.

Division One

Brookmans Park took an early two goal lead against FC Potters Bar with goals from Adam Davies and Darren Chillingworth, but were pegged back by half-time, with a penalty and an own goal.

Precision FC set themselves up for a title shootout against IFC in their next match with a comfortable 3-0 win against Old Albanians to make it nine consecutive league wins.

Jack Woods failed to convert from the penalty spot early on after Chris Seeby was fouled and despite creating a number of chances The Seeds were unable take advantage in the first half.

Dean Thompson then decided it was time for another special goal and picked up the ball 30 yards out before sending his shot high into the top corner.

A good ball back across the goal by Steve Seeby saw Sam Origawo head home.

Another good passing move from The Seeds and an excellent run off the ball by Adam Fowler found him one on one with the keeper.

He drew the stopper and unselfishly squared to Origawo to slot the ball into the open net for his second and The Seeds third.

Dukes and St Albans Royals drew 1-1. After a scrappy first half with few chances Dukes upped their game only to go behind from a defensive misunderstanding that Adam Sims took advantage of.

Stunned, Dukes took control for the rest of the game and equalised with a 30 yard net-buster from Dan Bennetts. Royals’ star man was Danny Blyth. A composed and dominant performance by Harpenden Colts against a lively Vision Reserves team produced a 3-1 victory.

Man of the match Alex Dennehy scored a brace of goals with the third being scored by Freddie Warner.

Colt’s display was very much a team performance though Dan Fensome, Ben Cobley and Clive Pinder all ensured the rest of the team followed their example in playing a disciplined yet expressive form of football.

White Horse Res edged out Marquis of Granby 1-0 who lacked a quality ball in the final third. Tom Coates earned man of the match.

Brookmans Park A team came up against a surprisingly strong Oak Res, who clearly had benefited from their first team having their game called off. Holding them at half-time to 1-1 the second half was a different story with Oaks finding the net five times without reply. Tobias Hanlon scored for Park.

Division Five

Kicking uphill in the first half they only managed to convert one of a multitude of chances. The second half saw fewer chances for Mymms, and they allowed George Redbourn back into the game.

After taking the lead again Mymms became their own worst enemy allowing George Redbourn to shoot from inside the box from a corner giving them the draw.
