England are through to only their third World Cup semi-final, after beating Norway 2-1.
The Three Lions beat the Scandinavian team thanks to two goals from Jude Bellingham.
It sets up a match against Argentina for a chance to reach the World Cup final.
England beat Norway as Three Lions get to semi-final
England started the game well, with plenty of possession but little clear chances, aside from a half chance for Nico O’Reilly just before the first hydration break.
Norway then took the lead in the 36th minute through Andreas Schjelderup.
Jude Bellingham scored his fifth of the tournament to equalise for England in extra time at the end of the first half.
Harry Kane thought he had scored to make it 2-1, but the goal was ruled offside.
Norway retook the lead in the second half, but a foul on Elliot Anderson from Erling Haaland meant the goal was ruled out.
A back-and-forth game, but no more goals in the 90 minutes saw it go to extra time.
It was at the start of extra time at 93 minutes that Bellingham scored his second, taking his goal tally to six for the tournament.
England were then denied a penalty after VAR overturned a foul on substitute Djed Spence.
In the end, the team saw out the game to win the tie 2-1 after extra time, and book their spot in the semi-final.
When is England’s next match?
England will play Argentina in their World Cup semi-final match on Wednesday (July 15) at 8pm UK time.
In the other semi-final, France and Spain will play each other on Tuesday (July 14) also at 8pm UK time, so England will know their potential final opponent before their semi-final.
Has England reached a World Cup final since 1966?
England has only reached the World Cup final once, back in 1966, when the team went on to win the World Cup, but now they have the chance to do it again.
The team has reached the semi-finals twice before, both of which were lost, in 1990 to West Germany and 2018 to Croatia.
On both occasions, England also went on to lose the third/fourth place play-off match.
When is the World Cup final?
The World Cup final is on Sunday (July 19) and will take place at 8pm UK time.
It will air on both BBC One and ITV1.
