The Herts Ad Sunday League Premier Division was the place for goals with an astounding 37 scored in just five matches.

They also shock up the table with leaders Brookmans Park in cup action.

Strafford Arms had a double header with Harpenden Colts Old Boys and scored a combined 15, winning 9-0 and then 6-1.

Jacob Noonan got three in the first one, with Matthew Walsh (two), Ethan Williams, Luke Lane, Jack Woods and Erivaldo Felix the others to score.

Walsh then added another double in game two, with Felix, Lane, Stephen Dodd and Alfie Lansbury completing a good day for the Arms who are now seven points adrift of Brookmans Park but with two games in hand.

Colts remain on the foot of the table.

Borehamwood Rovers are up to third after they won 6-3 against Six Bells and Plough & Harrow lost 4-2 to Forever Young People.

Chris Dunn and Charlie Gould got the consolation efforts for P&H while FYP are now just one point behind the three teams in front of them.

The remaining Premier Division match saw Mermaid beat Little Heath 5-1 with Joe Geddes, Joseph Amponsah, Callum Pickstock and Matthew Doherty among their scorers.

James Pinto scored for Heath.

Brookmans Park match saw them beat Phoenix 4-1 in the second round of the Herts Ad Challenge Cup. Charlie Nelson led the way with a double and Adam Page and Charlie Bayliss got the others.

The league has one team in the quarter-final of the Herts FA Junior Cup after Hertfordshire Vets beat Chaulden Athletic 6-1 in round four.

Robert Gradwell got two and there was one each for Paul Roberts, Dale Jenkins, Rory Farmer and Lewis Bulled.

They will go to Hertford Club De Futbol in the last eight, the match to be played on February 11.

Royston Rangers couldn't join them though as they lost 5-0 at Bishop's Stortford Swifts.

In the other cup game played, Shanahl Samarasinghe and Benjamin Turville scored for Phoenix Res in a 2-0 Herts Ad Charity Cup win over Alban Dynamo Res.

Back in league action and there was a potentially vital win for Wheathampstead Wanderers Res as they defeated Division One rivals Welwyn Warriors 2-1.

Matthew Taiwo got the Warriors goal but although they still have a game in hand on the leaders, they are now six points adrift.

Bottom Club Pinewood had a home walkover against third-placed Hatfield Seniors while Excel drew 2-2 with The Bull.

Joseph Curran scored both the Excel goals.

Mermaid Res won the big game in Division Two, a Ken Lee double helping them to a 4-3 win over Alban Dynamo, lifting them above them and into third.

Euan Wattley and Marco Manfredini got the others.

The two sides above Mermaid both won too.

Leaders Strafford Arms Res beat Oceans XI 4-1 with David Fennell (two), Kiri Louca and Anthony O'Donnell on target for them. Thomas Hills replied for Oceans.

Six Bells Res beat Saints 2-1 to move second while Welwyn Rangers won 5-1 against TNF.

Tyler McCarthy (three), Fyn Jordan and George Sippetts scored for them while Jay Telford replied for TNF.

Top beat bottom in Division Three, St George's winning 4-1 against Hatfield Comets, Sean Meally replying for Comets.

Keith Richardson, Jacob Jones, Charlie Gilroy and Steven John all scored as Wheathampstead 89 defeated Rose & Crown Mosquito 4-1 with the other game seeing Marshalswick Rovers winning 3-2 against The Wrestlers.

Matt Lacey, Harry Parker and Jack Messam scored for Rovers, Brandon Bates getting both for the Wrestlers.

There were two games in Division Four as well.

Byron Robinson-Meiklejohn got two and Ben Hobden one as London Colney United beat Phoenix A 3-0 and there was a second win of the season for Monday Night Football.

They won 2-1 against Royston Rangers Res thanks to Damian Wieczorek and Jake Downes goals. Connor Smith was the Royston scorer.
