Brookmans Park have claimed more silverware - adding the Herts Ad Sunday League Challenge Cup to their collection.

They have already pocketed the Herts FA Sunday Intermediate Cup but a hat-trick from Charlie Nelson was enough for them to beat Forever Young People 3-0 in the final at Welwyn Garden City's Herns Lane ground.

The club just missed out on making it a truly memorable day as their second team were beaten on penalties in the final of the Reserves Cup, going down 4-3 to Mermaid.

Bradley Carter and Andrew Peet had scored for Park in the 2-2 draw after normal time, Craig Clark equalising for Mermaid in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

Mermaid's first team won 10-0 against Oceans XI in the Goulding Senior Cup.

Oliver Smith and Chris Wilding both scored trebles while Harry Crook, Joe Geddes, Callum Pickstock and Ben Taylor got the others.

Phoenix Res are into the final of Herts Ad Junior Cup after a 3-0 win over St George's, Liam Addlesee and Robert Calancea among the goals.

Strafford Arms took a step nearer to the Herts Ad Sunday League Premier Division title without even playing in the league - as nearest challengers Borehamwood Rovers fell to defeat.

They lost 3-0 to Plough & Harrow to stay third, holding two games in hand now but still nine points adrift.

Plough are second but with just one game left to play, and a seven-point gap to the Arms, they are out of the running.

Chris Dunn, Josh Panther and George Elledge got the Plough goals.

Arms did play in the Jim Lynch Trophy, beating Wheathampstead Wanderers 2-1 to move into the semi-final

At the other end of the Premier Division table a double header gave Six Bells hopes of beating the drop as they beat Paxton Rovers twice.

Elliot Myrants-Wilson and Ryan Houghton scored in the first game, which was won 3-0, while Alfred Seeby was on target in a 2-1 victory in the second.

There was a double header in Division One as The Bull and Little Heath shared three points each.

Darrell Allen, Jack Coomber and Spencer Hunt all scored as Heath won one game 3-1, Joe Fletcher getting the Bull reply, but four from Jack Woods in game two helped Bull win the second clash 5-1.

Fletcher again got one while Nick Baker got the Heath consolation.

Hatfield Seniors kept their noses in front in the Division Two title race with a 3-0 win over Excel.

But Welwyn Warriors are keeping the pressure on them thanks to a 3-2 win over Pinewood.

They are now second after goals from Jon Cross-Hackett, Kachi Njoku and Liam Tring, three points behind with Pinewood a further two points adrift.

All three have two games to go.

In Division Three, Strafford Arms Res missed the chance to close on leaders BWSC after being held to a 1-1 draw by Alban Dynamo.

Robert Gradwell and Costas Harris scored as Herts Vets won 2-0 at Welwyn Warriors Res.

Welwyn Rangers remain in pursuit of Brookmans Park Res in Division Four, with a 3-1 win over Alban Dynamo Res moving them to within a point of the leaders and with a game in hand.

Ashleigh Robinson and Archie Ferguson scored for Royston Rangers as they drew 2-2 with Hadham Rovers Yellows for whom Bradley Godfrey was on target.

The one game in Division Five saw Phoenix A beat St Albans Eagles 5-0.
