A sixth former, who attends St Columba's College, has won a silver medal during a swimming competition in Dubai.

Caitlin Hartley trains at Hatfield Swimming Club and was one of 75 DiSE (Diploma in Sporting Excellence) swimmers from England to make the trip.

Hamilton Aquatics welcomed the group on February 7, before a week of training and competition took place.

Three high-performance training sessions were completed at Dubai's Hamdan Sports Complex, before the swimmers competed in the Middle East Open and Junior Championships (MEOJC).
