Cup competitions are heading to the crunch stages in the Herts Ad Sunday League.

Alban Dynamo are into the quarter-final of the Herts Ad Intermediate Cup after a 2-0 win over Pinewood. Louis Batstone and Brodie Carrington got the goals.

Welwyn Warriors are also into the last eight after a 3-1 win over Oceans XI in an all-Division Two clash. Steven Mee (two) and Jon Cross-Hackett were their scorers.

An all Wheathampstead game in the Herts Ad Knockout Cup saw Wanderers reach the quarter-final with a penalty shoot-out success against 89.

They won 5-4 after the sides had drawn 1-1 in normal time.

Excel are a round ahead after a thrilling 4-3 win over Hatfield Seniors in the last eight. Two from Tom Mullard and one for Jack Brown and Aaron Nash put them through but only after a second-half fightback from the hosts.

The semi-final of the Herts Ad Junior Cup beckons for St George's too after they beat Herts Vets 2-0 while it is the final of the Herts Ad Reserve Cup for Brookman Park Res after a hat-trick from Sammy Kinsley, plus a brace by Bradley Carter, gave them a 5-2 victory against Phoenix A.

Strafford Arms produced the biggest result of the day as they beat Karen Pulis of the Berkhamsted League 11-0 to reach the semi-final of the Deacon White Champions Cup.

Erivaldo Felix led the way with five, followed by three from Mano Langlais. Max Bradford, Jack Davis and Jaden Newman completed the rout.

In league action, Plough & Harrow jumped up to second in the Premier Division after a 3-1 win over Six Bells, who stay rooted to the bottom.

Player Packs recorded a superb 5-4 win against champions Skew Bridge. Danio Isaac Brown (two), Bradley Kelly-Keener, James Lauder and Reeon Wiltshire scored for them with Mark Hitchcock (two), James Potton and Ben Warren on target for Skew.

Division One bottom club Saints held third-placed Brookmans Park to a 1-1 draw, James Smith scoring for Park.

Mermaid stay top after a 6-1 win over Little Heath, Carl Fadhel and Ben Taylor getting two each and Oliver Smith and Callum Pickstock the others.

Richard Pinto got the Heath goal.

Welwyn Garden United remain second after a 5-2 win over The Bull, for whom Lui Neill and Oscar Gibbon scored.

Goals by Liam Addlesee and Robert Calancea gave Phoenix Res a 2-0 win over Welwyn Warriors Res in Division Three while Billy Garvey got a double in BWSC's 3-1 success over Wrestlers.

Alex Garvey got the other one.

Leaders Strafford Arms Res suffered just a second defeat as they went down 7-2 to TNF. Dean Kemp and Bradley Swaile got their goals.

Royston Rangers a 3-0 win over MNF.

Hadham Rovers Yellows beat Hatfield Seniors Res 4-2 with goals from Harry Cotton (two), Harrison Garner and Scott Power.

Second-placed Welwyn Rangers pulled three points clear of third-placed Mermaid Res with a 3-2 win. Sam Edge, Haydn Evanson and Ben Laurence got the Welwyn goals, Guiseppe Basile the Mermaid scorer.

Royston Rangers Res put in their best performance of the season by beating Moretown 1-0 in Division Five. Jack Hutchinson was the scorer.

League leaders Rose & Crown Mosquito completed the double over St Albans Warriors, winning 4-3 with goals from Dan Armstrong (two), Joe Brunt and Ben Gorman.

Warriors' replies came from Aaron Crawford (two) and Taylor Jeggo.

London Colney United climbed off the bottom of the table and above St Albans Eagles by beating them 9-2.

Byron Robinson-Meiklejohn, scored four, Luke Samarasinghe three and Bailey Calas and Cameron Clark one each.
