Swimmers from Harpenden continued their winning ways in the first week of competition at the County Championships at The Venue, Borehamwood on Saturday and Sunday.
The club came away with a clutch of medals, 2 cups and a county record.
Top performer over the weekend was 14 year old Flora Hanson who took Bronze in the 200m Freestyle, and Gold in the Womens and Junior Championships 200m Backstroke picking up the cup for each of these two events and setting a new county record in the process coming in at 2:20.16.
Meanwhile, 10-year old Michael Revell collected three Gold medals in the 200m Breaststroke, 50m Breaststroke and 200m Backstroke as well as Silver in his 50m Freestyle.
Abby Smith took home two Golds from the 400m Freestyle and the 200m Freestyle and a Bronze for her 50m Butterfly whilst other medallists were 17-year old Connie Green with Gold in the 400m Freestyle and Silver in the 200m Backstroke, JJ Dixon who took Silver in the 100m Fly, Alex Revell picked up Silver in her 200m Breaststroke.
Morgan Pugh got Silver in his 50m Freestyle, Georgie Smith took Silver in her 200m Backstroke, Eric Baker claimed Bronze in his 100m Backstroke, Duncan Nicoll got Bronze in his 200m individual medley and Harriet Cook took Bronze in her 400m Freestyle.
The coaches are quite happy with this return from the first weekend's competition and look forward to more medals.
