Verulam Swimming Club were at Borehamwood for the first weekend of the County Championships. With a nervous atmosphere in the air, Verulam swimmers rose to the occasion and swam with confidence and pride over Saturday and Sunday.
Heather Kersey took third in the girls 200m front crawl and sixth in the 50m back stroke. Harry Parker came seventh in the 200m breaststroke, third in the 50m breaststroke and 11th in the 50m front crawl while Rob Van Tromp took second in the 100m backstroke.
Other great swims from Rosie Shreeves, Stanley Tinkler, Millie and Michael Camerea, Emily Muggleton, Jack Donoghue and Chloe Arnold all added up to a very successful meet with all the children enjoying the experience and numerous PBs were achieved.
Verulam will again be participating in the County Championship next weekend and look forward to achieving even more success.
