ST ALBANS City have moved to extend the loan of Solomon Shields after the original deal expired yesterday [Tuesday].
The 19-year old has impressed everyone since arriving at Clarence Park from Leyton Orient and boss Steve Castle is delighted to have kept the midfielder at the club for at least another month.
Speaking to The Herts Advertiser Castle said: "He's been superb in our little rejuvenation. He's been an integral part and I'm over the moon that I've got him for another month at least and hopefully until the end of the season.
"He's got so much energy and with him, James Fisher and Hector Mackie in there we've suddenly got a lot of energy in midfield."
Castle is also hoping to add another striker to his squad ahead of Saturday's game with playoff hopefuls Team Bath.
