HARVESTERS U12 North won their first silverware of the season when winning the prestigious six-a-side Puma Cup held over the Christmas period at The Football Akademy in Stevenage.
Having been beaten in the final of the competition for the past two seasons the North went undefeated in the group stages, winning three and drawing two of their five games. The highlight being a 3-1 win over the ISS Academy to secure their place in the last four knockout stages.
In the semi-finals the North came up against another academy side Focus, but were again victorious 2-1 thanks to goals from Louie Roberts and Amir Berchil.
In a close game, the final between the North and Crawley Green Kestrels was settled by a strike a second from the end of normal time by Amir Berchil to give the North a 1-0 victory.
The squad of seven consisted of Dominic Barnett (goalkeeper), Owen Gould, Thomas Patrick (one goal), Louie Roberts (three goals), Amir Berchil (three goals), Finbar King (two goals) and guest player Christian Boland (three goals).
