ST ALBANS City’s opponents in the FA Cup and FA Trophy have been announced today (Friday).
The Saints welcome Ryman Premier League side Enfield Town to Clarence Park in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup on September 14. In the FA Trophy, City will travel to either Ware or Witham Town on October 19.
Last year, City exited the FA Cup in the third qualifying round with a 1-0 loss to Lowestoft at Clarence Park.
The 2012 competition did have its highlights for the Saints: a Barry Hayles brace saw City dump Harrow Borough out of the competition; and Sean Shields scored a hat-trick in a 6-2 thumping of Ashford – a performance that shortlisted him for Player of the Round.
