Wheathampstead’s run chase fell just short of Radlett 2nds’ total on their SHL Division Two match on Saturday.
Radlett won the toss and elect to bat. Opening bowlers Nick Martin and Strivens did a fine job of taking wickets and not giving many runs away. The fielding was excellent with catches being taken and boundaries being prevented.
The host were skittled for 112 with two wickets for Chris Martin and one each from Daniel Dabare and Ibrar Walayat.
Chasing a modest total, Wheathampstead slumped to 11-3 as Radlett got the most out of the wicket. In a poor batting display, only Sam Ledger (46) and Martin (18) reached doubled figures as Wheathampstead were bowled out for 93.
