Karter Josh Steed recovered from a fifth-placed heat finish to top the podium during a wet weekend at Rye House.
Racing was delayed for three hours due to flooding and even when the drivers were given the green light the track was very wet.
The Parmiters School student used his skill in the wet to take poll position in qualifying by over half a second. In the heat, he was knocked off the track while making a move for first place but recovered to finish fifth.
In the grand final, starting from second on the grid, Steed took first place on the bend one and held on to take the flag.
