Loick Pires has had his contract with St Albans City terminated by mutual consent, the club has confirmed.
The 25-year-old signed a contract at the start of the season but, after scoring twice in a Herts Charity Cup quarter-final against Ware, he failed to earn a regular role in James Gray and Graham Golds’ first-team squad.
Pires leaves the Saints have made 11 appearances, seven from the bench, for the club.
It is the second time in his career that Pires has had his contract terminated, the other coming when he left Welling by mutual consent on March 4, 2014 to join Boreham Wood for the remainder of the season.
