Harpenden Arrows’ ladies’ had a clean sweep of the prizes at the final Sunday League XCountry event, held in Royston.
The ladies’ A, B and Vets teams all won their respecitive series, and there were age-group wins for Hannah Turner and Dawn Burr.
The series covers five races in total and each team must field a minimum number of runners at each race in order to gain points.
Louise Crosby, the Arrows’ ladies’ captain, said “I have been delighted at the number of ladies who have taken up the challenge this year, it’s a tough series running in cold, wet weather and across country. We’ve seen quite a few new ladies join the club and take part this year and the results show this.”
The men came third and Brian Yates won his age category.
