St Albans City send Staines Town out of the Vanarama Conference South after a goalless draw at Clarence Park.
Nicky Forster’s side’s relegation was confirmed after a drab game that saw very few genuine goalscoring opportunities. The Saints looked the most likely but, when they got in good areas, which was often, their cutting edge deserted them. Substitute Michael Malcolm came the closest but Jack Turner tipped away a fierce strike.
The point moved City up to 15th in the table.
