Danny Fitzgerald’s second-half strike earned London Colney a smash-and-grab victory at Tring Athletic.
With the game heading towards a goalless conclusion, Tom Smith flicked on a goal-kick to Fitzgerald who rounded two players before unleashing a 25-yard shot that whistled into the top corner.
The three points moved the Blueboys up to sixth in the SSML Premier Divison table and they have between one and seven games in hand over the teams above them.
On Tuesday, they welcome Leverstock Green to Cotlandswick, 7.45pm kick-off.
