Two goals from Jordan Parking plus one by the outstanding Declan Hinchcliffe gave Blackboy a hard-earned 3-2 win against Cannon in Division Three of the Herts Advertiser Sunday League.

The Division’s top marksman, Craig Ashurst, scored both Cannon’s goals.

Queens Head Res were unlucky to lose 2-1 in a competitive game against Snug Bar.

Luke Hatchett got the Queens goal with Ben Haines and Ryan Hearne scoring for Snug.

A depleted Skew Bridge Res were just shaded by Herts Corinthians in the Herts Intermediate Cup, going down to a 5-3 defeat.

James Elliot was in fine form scoring all the Skew goals.

Brookmans Park won 4-2 against Oakwood Town, a Callum Baylis hat-trick did the damage with Ben Bagshaw netting late on.

Brookmans Park Res came up against a better team in Wanderers from Hitchin who ran out deserved 2-0 winners.

Chequers Inn recorded their best win of the season, defeating FC Hitchin 6-0 with two goals from James Maynard and singles from Christian Armah, Paul Davidson, Joe Geddes and Chris Wilding.

A superb team performance saw St Albans Rangers beat Rickmansworth 5-3.

Man-of-the-match George Irving stole the show hitting four while Christy Torrens scored a superb overhead kick.

Queens Head put in a dominant performance to win 7-0 against The Gremlin. Goals from Garry Hatchett (three), Jason Slough, John Murphy, Laurie Blow and a fine goal from the outstanding Dave Corran sealed the win.

Wheathampstead ‘89 came away from Echoes with a 2-1 win. Goals came from Lee Bennett and Alan Russell.

Two goals from star man, Nathan Young gave Oaks a 2-0 win against The Angel.

Church End shared eight goals after extra time against Thunderidge City before coming out on top 4-2 in the penalty shootout.

Scorers for Church End were Ricky Sharpe (two), Jonny Rowland and Tom Blackman.

Facelad recorded their biggest win of the season, defeating Letchworth Albion.

Jerry Clynes and Matt Howell got two each with Michael Alderman, Matt Saxby and the Josh Knott getting the others.

In the Intermediate Cup, Wheathampstead Swan stepped up their game after going behind to CHL, eventually running out 7-1 winners.

Goals came from Ben Conrad (three), Tom Simmonds (two) Neil Stevenson and Pete Hulland.

Marshalswick Rovers march on in the Junior Cup after beating a disappointing Royston Rovers 3-0. Luke Tremlett put them ahead before a Matt Lacey header and a second from Tremlett made the last 20 minutes comfortable.

Camp Victoria showed plenty of resilience as they overcame Athletico Quat 3-2 after extra-time.

Ben White and Nathan Sandiford scored in the second half of normal time before Aaron Lumsdon hit the late winner, deep into the extra 30 minutes. Louis Minerve and Jack nevin scored for Quat.

Harpenden Colts OB had to come from behind on three separate occassions to force extra-time but eventually went down 6-3 to Cannon Res.

And despite the best efforts of stalwart and captain, Clive Pinder, and their man-of-the-match, Darren Singleton in that extra period, the Colts eventually ran out of steam.

Chris Newcombe, with a brace, and Freddie Warner, with a single goal, were the Colts OB goalscorers.

Ian Hutchinson was on target twice for Cannon with John Armitt, Jordan Cocomazzi, Haydn Connell and Ricky Haley grabbing the others.

Blacksmiths Arms fell to their second defeat, losing out 2-1 against Phoenix in the Premier Division.

Jamie Sharp replied with their lone goal. Lewis Macgregor was their star player.

Once again Skew Bridge had to come back from a goal down, although eventually defeating New Jacks 3-1 with two goals from Harry Hunt and a Ben Warren header.

Skew should have added to their tally and only an inspired Jacks’ keeper kept them at bay.

In Division Four, League leaders Stonewood Res made it four wins on the trot when defeating White Horse 5-3.

Dan Hedges (two), Grant Macaree and Reedan Pearce gave them the win. Gary Farrow, Guy Messenger and Ryan Rickard scored for the White Horse.
