Hitchin won the toss and put the Saints in, dismissing the hosts for 113 off 34 overs. David Moore picked up five wickets for Hitchin. In reply, Hitchin were poised for the run chase ahead at 9-0 when rain ended the clash.
Away at Ickleford in Division Three, St Albans II batted out to secure a draw after facing an imposing run chase.
Ickleford won the toss and hit 237-5 off 51 overs before the Saints battled to 207-7 off 45 overs in reply.
In Division Seven, St Albans III were crushed by Northwood Town after captain for the day Nick Kirwan lost the toss. Saints were inserted and promptly dismissed for just 59 runs.
Hills picked up 7-27 for Northwood Town. In reply, Northwood hit 60-3 off 13 overs to seal an emphatic win. Debjit Mukherjee, Robert Little and Kirwan took the wickets for St Albans.
