SHENLEY Village Under 10s lifted the Hertfordshire County Cricket title after defeating Redbourn and Berkhamsted.
A 64-run win against Redbourn in the semi final set up a clash with Berkhamsted in the final.
Berkhamsted won the toss and after electing to bowl, restricted Shenley to 214-8, their lowest score of the season by some margin.
The Shenley side battled on against the odds and reduced Berkhamsted to 190-7 after 12 overs.
With the result now in the balance, Shenley held their nerve and a sharp run out and magnificent catch left Berko short on 199-9. The four Shenley strike bowlers took six clean-bowled wickets and the team put in a fantastic effort in the field to win a superb game of cricket.
Shenley Under 9s and Under 12s also won their groups to book semi final places but only the Under 10s went on to take overall victory.
