HANNAH Burke faded away in the final two rounds of the English women's strokeplay championship at The Berkshire.
The Mid Herts player, who is at college in the USA at Baylor, Texas, opened up with impressive rounds of 72 and 69 to sit just three shots off the lead at three under par at the halfway stage. A sparkling five-under par on the back nine was the highlight of the event for Hannah and after her second round, she said: "I had a couple of bad holes on the front nine but I recovered on the back nine where I put it close and holed a few putts."
In round three, Hannah fired a 76 and her final round 79 left her on 296 eight over par, 11 shots adrift of the event winner Jodi Ewart who took victory after a four-hole sudden death play off.
