The most expensive property currently on the market in St Albans has dropped its asking price by £1m to £5m.
53 The Park was first listed for sale with an asking price of £6m back in June.
And while there’s been a massive amount of interest in the property – which boasts seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a cinema room, a steam room and a yoga/pilates studio – a buyer has yet to be found.
Selling agent Stuart Cassidy, of Cassidy & Tate, said: “The owner is a businessman and he can see the market has slowed down. He thought he would show that he is being proactive by amending the price down to £5m.
“What an amazing price reduction. Hopefully this will make a difference.”
Cassidy & Tate decided to show off a couple of the property’s most unique features – its hydraulic car lift and huge basement garage – by organising a photo shoot with a fleet of prestige cars.
“We thought the public would appreciate that more than just an empty room,” Stuart said.
