St Albans and Harpenden make top 10 property rich list

Zoopla lists the top towns nationally and breaks down Hertfordshire's highest value streets, areas and towns into separate sections too.
Hertfordshire has cemented its place at a decent spot on Zoopla’s latest Property Rich List.
In the category of Britain’s highest value towns, Herts made its first appearance at number nine with the town of Radlett, boasting an average property value of £852,890. Six places down came Harpenden, known for its variety of listed manor houses and country-side cottages. The average price here was £754,720.
The property portal sub-categorised Hertfordshire’s highest value streets, areas and towns as well.
At the top of the street list came Park Avenue South in Harpenden (£3,356,162), with Harpenden making two more appearances further down the list with Piper’s Lane at number six (£2,822,233) and Oak Way at number 8 (£2,738,911).
Hertford, Ware and Rickmansworth filled out the rest of the street list.
Harpenden came second in the category of highest value area, beaten by Radlett (£754,720 and £852,700 average prices respectively). Followed by the likes of Mill Hill, Welwyn and Hatfield, St Albans rounded off the top ten at number ten.
These results were repeated on the highest value town list, with Radlett coming first, Harpenden as runner up and St Albans at number ten once again. Kings Langley and Bushey crept onto this list this time, knocking Mill Hill and Hatfield off the top ten.
Nationally, Virginia Water in Surrey topped the list of richest property towns followed by the likes of Cobham, Keston, Beaconsfield, Henley and Richmond, with London in fact coming in at number 20.
