The Harpenden branch of Savills has appointed a new associate director to its senior team.
Kris Smith joins the company with specialist knowledge of the local area and more than 20 years of experience in the property sector.
A former partner at Knight Frank, Kris lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and young son.
He said: “I’m delighted to have joined Savills. The Harpenden office has some very ambitious plans and I’m looking forward to being able to play a part in that – supporting the existing team and helping to drive future growth.”
Commenting on how the local property market is performing, he added: “Harpenden and the wider Hertfordshire area has always been incredibly popular and this year – despite any wider political and economic concerns – is proving no different.
“The market has remained surprisingly robust and we are seeing a strong level of interest. Viewings, exchanges and completions are all ahead of where they were in 2018 and we also have a good pipeline of homes ready to launch in time for the spring.
Kris continued: “Properties in the heart of Harpenden have performed particularly well, with buyers keen to be within walking distance of the town centre and an easy commute into London.”
Head of office Nick Ingle added: “It’s great to have Kris on board. He brings a great deal of experience and expertise and has an excellent track record.
“His appointment signals our continued commitment to strengthening our team and ensuring we can provide the very best service to our clients.”
