TWO youngsters who competed in the Herts 10k made a personal visit to Grove House this week to hand in their sponsorship money.
Tommy Wright and Alex Levy, both 12, were the youngest competitors in the Herts 10k after proving to the race organisers that they were committed to raising cash and completing the six mile race.
The boys, who attend Sandringham School, raised 212 from friends and family, which is 100 over their original target, and presented a cheque to Grove House fundraising director Paul Parrish on Tuesday.
They thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the event, each completing the race in impressive time. They said they understood the importance of Grove House’s work and were delighted to raise money which would help the hospice continue its good work.
