A YOUNG driver was seriously hurt when his car left the road and overturned at the weekend.
The accident happened in Sandridge Road in Wheathampstead close to the Wicked Lady Pub, at around 4.30am on Saturday morning.
The 20-year-old man from Wheathampstead was cut free from the blue Renault Clio by St Albans firefighters and taken to the QEII hospital with head injuries.
He is currently in a comfortable condition but it is not yet known why his vehicle left the road.
