The former Odeon cinema in London Road, St Albans, is gradually being brought back to life.

Just last week the facade received a fresh lick of paint and a new pavement was fitted outside the long-awaited attraction which has been renamed The Odyssey.

Developers behind the project also applied for a premises licence on July 21 in anticipation of the cinema’s imminent opening.

The cinema was expected to be finished this August but it appears the completion date may have been pushed back.

A full update on the cinema will feature in the Herts Advertiser in the next few weeks.
