CHRISTMAS is a fast disappearing memory but a charity had good cause to be reminded of it last week.

For the Willow Foundation was chosen as its charity by Aylett's on the North Orbital Road, St Albans, and visitors to the nursery's Christmas Wonderland were invited to donate to it.

The Willow Foundation provides quality of life and time for seriously ill young adults by providing special days for them.

It was set up by former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson and his wife Megs in memory of their daughter Anna, who died of cancer at the age of 31.

Community fundraiser Pauline Mitchelmore of the Willow Foundation was at Aylett's for the official presentation of £1,200 by Julie Aylett, a director of the nursery.

Aylett's chose the Willow Foundation at the suggestion of a member of staff.
