A WOMAN has been taken to hospital with chest injuries following a traffic collision involving a lorry and a car on the A414/Watling Street roundabout, Park Street, about 10am this morning, Friday, May 18.

East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) Ambulance spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “A woman has received chest injuries and following treatment, stabilisation and immobilisation by the ambulance crews, she was taken to Watford general hospital for further care.”

Ambulance crews from Borehamwood and St Albans attended the incident.

A spokeswoman for Herts police said the collision involved a Mazda and a DAF truck.

The roundabout was partially blocked for more than an hour after the incident, with vehicle recovery completed just after 11am. The A405, North Orbital Road, was temporarily closed to allow the vehicles to be removed.
