A woman had to be rescued from her car after getting trapped following an accident in a busy Wheathampstead road.
A spokesman for Herts Police confirmed officers were called to the scene in The Hill, near to Nomansland Common, to reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a green Mini.
Fire fighters from St Albans station attended the incident to help the woman out of her car and was she taken to Luton and Dunstable Hospital by officers from the East of England Ambulance Service Trust.
The road was near to The Wicked Lady pub and adjoining Hill Dyke Road was also closed.
